Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
make it possible for businesses to connect multiple locations
across long distances, even around the world. By using the Internet as a common carrier for
network communications, access between locations can be maintained for a very low cost. And
access speed can be as fast or faster than in-office communications. Your local connection
to RASER/WMIS can open a world of possibilities!

| How it works |
Your application software data files reside on your central office server,
protected from the Internet by the secure firewall/modem/router.
Remote offices make a connection to the Internet through a personal computer
or an Internet terminal server. The connection is secure and cannot be used
by any one else.
Traffic between the main office and remote locations is fast and efficient,
using the TCP/IP protocol.
To the remote user, the main office server appears to be virtually next-door,
thus the phrase Virtual Private Network.
The system can be engineered to support as many connections as needed by your
business operations.
